About This Item

Chicago: Ivan R. Dee. Fine in Fine dust jacket. 2001. Hardcover. x, 308 pages; Clean and secure in original binding in very nice dustjacket. Laid-in printed slip "With compliments ... / [SIGNED by Robert Shogun] / Ivan R. Dee, Publisher ..." Prize-winning reporter Robert Shogan draws on the lessons of nine presidential elections to show where the press goes wrong in the making of the president. The media, Mr. Shogan argues, now play the role of enablers. Without fully realizing it, they allow and abet the abuse of the political process by the candidates and their handlers. Shogan has got it right....Bad News is a wake-up call for journalists everywhere. Sam Donaldson, ABC News. If there is such a thing as a good book about 'bad news,' this is it. David S. Broder, Washington Post .

At The Antiquarian Book Shop, located in Georgetown - an historic neighborhood of Washington, D.C. we have been buying, selling & appraising rare, interesting and scholarly books in Georgetown for more than 30 years. Over those many years we have taken great pleasure from satisfying our customers' eclectic literary requirements in the shop and hope to continue in that tradition now that we have moved our operation on-line.Currently, our catalogued inventory includes about 4,000 books from the sixteenth century through the twentieth century in a variety of subject areas. Our stock comprises antiquarian books, collectible books and scholarly books, as well as a selection of antique prints and ephemera. The books listed here represent only a small portion of our total inventory.
