Small 4to., xxii(2_239(1)pp. Beautiful First Edition in English in the First Issue original publisher's binding of maroon cloth stamped with gilt vignette on front board with triple gilt borders. Titles in gilt on spine. Top edge gilt. Frontis illustration and eight additional plates from several different artists. Sheet music of many of the songs in the appendix. Square, solid and clean throughout with little or no interior toning or foxing. Spine ends and tips worn and rubbed. Spine mildly toning. Tiny binder's ticket, Burn & Co., on rear paste-down. Small, inconspicuous bookplate of noted American collector, Albert A. Ahern on rear end-paper. A very pretty collectable copy.
