About This Item
First Russian separate book with Ballads of Robin Hood edited by famous Russian poet Nikolai Gumilev, who translated two ballads also.
The best Russian poets participated in this edition: Vsevolod Rozhdestvensky, Georgii Ivanov, Georgii Adamovich and Adrian Piotrovsky. The edition printed in small circulation because of lack of paper in the period of War communism and after execution of N. Gumilev was banned by soviet censorship. Later Adrian Piotrovsky was also shot and G. Ivanov and G. Adamovich emigrated from Soviet Russia.
