Frontis engraved plate, red and black title page. XLI illustrations. Original dark blue cloth with gilt seal to the front, gilt title. Spine tips lightly pulled and dusted, covers have some rubbing at corners and minor normal wear, front board slightly forward. Interior end papers are oxidized but otherwise text is clean and unmarked, remarkably nice condition. This is the New Edition , significantly added to after the 1867 first edition. Heavy for international or Canadian shipping. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 692 pages .
