New York: Greenberg Publishers, 1933. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/no jacket. Very light shelf wear to tips, corners, and edges of the book, gift inscription of 1935; no jacket. As often for the period a bit of racism is injected. This time in the play adapted from Robinson Crusoe. The stereotypical Friday speaks in dialect and is ordered around by a parrot. Sold through department stores using various names. This one being Bamberger's Handy Book for Boys. Bamberger's was a New Jersey chain of stores which ceased operations in 1986. First printing, no others noted. Books and other items ship promptly with a tracking number and (generally over $15.00) jacket protectors if applicable. Clean recycled packing material will be used when possible. The Book Shed has a been a member of the Vermont Antiquarian Bookseller's Association since 1997. An online bookseller with a bookshop sensibility!
