N.Y.: Random House, 1950. 64 pp. Beautiful w/c painting on endpapers of does and two fawns running toward buck. Adapted by Allen CHaffe "An entertaining and instructive story of a year in the life of the First Family among the Deer in their forest home." Adapted for ages 5-10. Hardcover has bumps and rubbing to corners and to edges. Spine paper covering has come off but book is still very secure. Some small chips and nicks to cover. Plastic coating has peeled off in most places. Gift inscription on inside front free endpaper and former owner's name neatly written inside cover. Text is lovely, no tears, a few small smudges but quite clean. Overall cond: fair.. Hard Cover. Illus. by Phoebe Erickson. 11 1/4 x 8.
