London: Longmans, Green & Co., 1894.. 1894.. Good. - Octavo, olive green cloth titled in gilt on the front cover & spine. The top edge is gilt. The binding is lightly rubbed & bumped with a small stain to the rear cover. xiv, [1] leaf & 118 pages with an erratum slip bound in. There is light spotting to the endpapers with an owner's bookplate on the front pastedown. The page edges are slightly darkened. Black-and-white pictorial title. Good. <p>First edition.<p>The book is dedicated to Eleanor Charlotte Sellar and the ink signature of Mary N. Sellar appears on the front pastedown. Sellar was the maiden name of Lang's mother.<p>A publisher's note is tipped in on the front endpaper stating that the book is not to be sold at a discount.
