The French painters who gravitated to the small village of Barbizon in the small forest of Fontainebleau and left the conventional studio rooted art for the landscapes and paved the way for the richness of impressionism. Later Monet, Cezanne and Renoir would be drawn to the area. Some wear at bottom of jacket spine else a fine dust jacket.
