About This Item
New York:: Grosset & Dunlap, 1917.. Hardbound . BINDING/CONDITION: tan 'tweed' binding with series device on the front; a Very Good book, with a Good dust jacket.. 8vo (8.5 inches tall) . Description: Illustrated with black and white drawings. A sequel to Kazan, the Wolf Dog, this is the story of the son of Kazan and of his blind mate, Gray Wolf. Baree is separated from his parents as a pup and eventually finds himself in the care of a French-Indian girl, Nepeese, the Willow and her trapper father. Just as his father bonded early in life with a young girl, so does Baree bond with Nepeese. Throw in the sinister villain Bush McTaggert and we have an adventure story of a girl and her dog set in the far north. The only printed date is the original 1917 copyright; this copy circa 1950s.
