Pp. 286, plus 13 coloured plates, of which one is foldout, including frontispiece, and 43 halftone plates; 295-575, plus 3 coloured plates including frontispiece, and 21 halftone plates. Plus 2 double-page plates as endpapers, "Gravesend" on first endpapers; "The Ile of Wite Liying" on last endpapers, repeated in both volumes. Half-titles present, old signature to each. Decorative initials, shoulder notes. HARDCOVER, uniformly bound in the original publisher's quarter smooth navy blue calf and matching cloth-covered boards, gilt ruled sides, spine gilt, heads slightly bumped, pictorial endpapers as mentioned above, cracked at inner hinges; top edge gilt. Overall fine, attractive set, still untrimmed, preserved in the original state, and with crisp, bright interior. ~ FIRST EDITION. Limited edition of 100 signed and numbered copies, this copy is number 89. Signed by Basil Lubbock. I-1
