About This Item

London: Herbert Jenkins, 1952. 8vo, pp. 222. Original red boards, lettered in black to spine. Illustrated dustwrapper. A fine, unread copy, a small and faint bookseller's stamp to foot of front pastedown, in a near fine price-clipped dustwrapper with a single small closed tear to lower edge of rear panel. First edition, published a month later in the US with the title Angel Cake. A much nicer copy than is usually found, in an unfaded dustwrapper with only minimal wear. McIlvaine A-72
