This is the story of master baseball promoter Hap Dumont who started the National Baseball Congress (NBC) tournament in Wichita, KS and organized it every year up to his death in 1972 and of the NBC tournament itself, its creation, its growth, its great players, and its changes after his death. A special chapter on Satchel Paige is included. A clean very presentable copy.
