While this has a 1st edition statement in place, given that the jacket has no price I am reasonably sure it is a book clubbing from the firsts unaltered plates. As many will know a price is rarely but sometimes seen on a BCE, but, I have never seen an unpriced US trade edition dust jacket where the publisher was a commercial enterprise unless it WAS a BCE and therefore a false first. No debossing present. Book in decent shape (date penned and xmas card laid on first endsheet). Fore edge deckle, top edge pale yellow, 380 pages. Book otherwise unmarked.
