London, UK: Weidenfeld & Nicholson military, 1990. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 96pp. Black cloth-covered boards, gilt titles on spine. Lightly bumped spine heel. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Dust jacket has some minor shelf wear, light chipping to top edge. 8vo. Signed and inscribed on title page 'To Group Captain David, with best wishes and thanks for your help, Alfred Price'. There is a further inscription on page 62 & 63 next to the piece on Pilot Officer Dennis David (one of "the Few") which reads 'For Margaret - The finest partner a man could ever wish for, and I love you with all my heart - Dennis July, 1990.' Authentic account of the hardest-fought day of the battle when 68 British and 69 German aircraft were destroyed, a combined loss greater than on any other day. Illustrated throughout in black and white.
