London: Peter Davies, 1957 First edition. Hardcover book . Dark brown cloth lettered in gitl to spine, and wtih blind-stamped motif of fighter plane to front cover, and dustjacket, which has publisher's band lettered in white on red: The Book of the Film.. 263pp. With 15 b&w photos in plates, and a map. The author, a 'chaplain turned fighter pilot' and USAF Colonel, describes his early life as a minister, as a pilot in the Second World War, and mostly his experiences in The Korean War, where he trained a Korean air force and set up a rescue mission for orphans. Made in to film of the same name starring Rock Hudson. Good in Very Good jacket. Covers clean with light wear to edges, some browning to pages, old tape residues to endpapers, and original owner in 1957 has written out the Battle Hymn of the Republic on the front free endpaper in ink (neatly). Jacket has small losses to edges but is clean and bright. Pictures available
