Mexico, Mo, 1906. xii,[17]-662,[10]pp. plus errata slip and plates. Portrait. Modern brown buckram. Pencil notes on front endpapers, messy tape repairs to several leaves including the portrait, tape offset, scattered foxing. Good. The author served in the Army of Tennessee from 1863 until the end of the Civil War, his experiences recounted here through preserved letters, many of them military communications, interspersed with narrative text.
