Rara opera di culto mariano del 1567, variante C, del letterato e umanista Girolamo Muzio (Padova-1496 - Castello della Paneretta 1576) detto anche Giustinopolitano. Muzio fu precettore di Torquato Tasso e del figlio del Duca di Francesco Maria. Scrisse diverse opere di carattere letterario e religioso. Nella prima parte dell'opera la vita della Vergine. Seguono vite di alcune Sante: Apollinare, Aquilina, Febronia, Eufemia, Tre sorelle, Eufrosina, Caritina, Teotista, Giuliana, Eugenia, Anesa, Pulcheria. Finissimi capilettera decorati e piccole incisioni. Firma datata 1592 al frontespizio. In ottime condizioni. Copertina in piena pergamena con titolo su tassello al dorso in ottime condizioni generali con lievi usure ai margini e dorso. Legatura in buone condizioni. Pagine in buone condizioni con fioriture. In 8. Dim. 20x15,5 cm. Pp. 230+(2). Scarce work of Marian cult of 1567, variant C, by the letterate and humanist Girolamo Muzio (Padova-1496 - Castello della Paneretta 1576) also known as Giustinopolitano. Muzio was teacher of Torquato Tasso and son of the Duke of Francesco Maria. He wrote different works of litterary and religious carachters. In the first part of the work the life of Virgin. Then the lives of some Saints: Apollinare, Aquilina, Febronia, Eufemia, Tre sorelle, Eufrosina, Caritina, Teotista, Giuliana, Eugenia, Anesa, Pulcheria. Very fine decorated capital letters and little engravings. Signature dated 1592 in the title page. In very good conditions. Full parchment coeval cover with gilted title in the spine in very good general conditions lightly worn in the extremities. Binding in good conditions. Inside pages are in good conditions with foxing. In 8. Dim. 20x15,5 cm. Pp. 230+(2).
