Good with no dust jacket. 1781 edition of Johnson's maxims "accurately extracted from his works, and arranged in alphabetical order, after the manner of the Duke de la Roch-Foucault's Maxims." High quality rag paper with no chips or splits; light foxing throughout, endpages' edges toned, name inked on front pastedown. Leather splitting at spine folds but stitching has kept the boards attached; edges worn, corners scuffed, leather label pulling away. Shipping may be extra; please inquire.; 4 1/4 x 7 ''.
