New York: Reynal & Hitchcock, 1947. First Edition. Original light green cloth w/ dark green lettering in dust jacket; small 8vo. 55 pp. The poet's first book, only 750 copies issued; reissued at a later date by Harcourt Brace, who bought Reynal in 1947. This copy signed and briefly inscribed; the. Prev. owner's name and small (pencil eraser-sized) ink out on the ffep, a small inventory number under the flap, edges sunned, still very good, in a dust jacket the verso reinforced in three spots by white postage stamp ends else a bit worn and creased and easily good or better and complete (not price-clipped). Better than most copies we have seen. (in removable protective archival jacket).
