About This Item
(Berlin): Gestalten, (2011). First edition.. Hardcover. Fine. Octavo, pictorial boards printed in red, black and white, pp. 288, the pagination includes 16 pages of photos, most in colour. Engaging account of artistic life in Berlin between Autumn 1987 through 2010. Multi media artist and musician Danielle De Picciotto brings this era vividly to life in her striking, descriptive prose style. The author's focus is more upon the arts community of Berlin and her artist friends than upon herself, and she provides vivid accounts of Berliners: Gudrun Gut, Dr. Motte, Roland Wolfe, Jim Avignon, Beth Moore Love, Alexander Hacke, Einsturzende Neubauten and others. Hardcover in dust jacket, and as new in the publisher's shrink wrap. Highly recommeded.
