First Edition, First Printing, signed and inscribed: "To Tim/With Affection/From Ted and Ken/ Nov. '70," the year of this edition's publication. Edition shows very small signs of fading around edges of boards and pages, else Fine. Complete dust jacket in Near Fine condition save for some very small signs of wear. In collectible condition for a photography library.
Photographer Edmund "Ted" Carpenter collaborated on theoretical ideas popularized by Harold Innis and Marshall McLuhan and even co taught a course with the latter. Ken Heyman collaborated with Margaret Mead on the book Family (1965) as well as President Lyndon B. Johnson for "This America." He took the photographs for "The Private World of Leonard Bernstein" and has taken photo portraits of Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Tom Wesselmann, Claes Oldenburg and James Rosenquist.
