London: Ward, Lock & Co, 1933 New edition, completely re-written, revised and extended. Undated but post-1896 from contents, probably c.1900. Hardcover book . Green cloth, with gilt titles to spiner, and gilt rose vignette to front. 731pp, plus pictorial trade adverts front and back; octavo. With 6 chromo-lithograph plates, including frontispiece, with titled tissue-guards, and over 500 engraved b&w illustrations and figures in text. Includes a large section at abck: Monthly Calendar of Garden Work.Very Good overall. Covers bright, with a few light marks and spots, and rubbing to edges with nicks to cloth. Binding sound, though one of the trade advert leaves at front is detached (present): these are on browned brittle paper (unlike the main contents). Page faces clean, though there is intermittent foxing, mostly to margins and mostly light. Browning and some foxing to closed edges. Two names to verso of frontis. . Pictures available.
