Because of the resulting conflict, the Sleepless form a separate community where they can exist in peace. But this is no simple-minded tale of the emergence of a new utopia of ubermenschen, for we come to realize that the Sleepless are lacking in important human qualities." - Pringle, The Ultimate Guide to Science Fiction, second edition (1995), p. 29.
