About This Item
Fort Wayne, IN: Public Energy Club, 1981. Pamphlet. [28]p., illustrations, wraps. 8.25 x 5.25 in. Spotting to covers. Very Good. Propaganda for a pyramid scheme involving investments in the energy sector, preying off anxieties that followed the OPEC crisis and proudly "patterned after the very successful multi-level marketing concepts utilized by many home product firms." With several full page advertisements and a blank membership form on the inside of the rear cover. The Club and its principals, Robert L. Wilder Sr. and Royce Evans, were charged by the SEC for the sale of unregistered securities and defrauding their buyers.
