About This Item

Longmans, London, 1927. Hardcover. Very good. London. First Edition, 1927. pp. 318, 8vo. Hardcover in English green boards/gilt titling to spine. Lower corners lightly rounded, subtle rub and fade along lower rims. Endpapers and text block toned, a strong, solid copy in firm, accessible binding. An essential title on the early history of the Air Ministry and the various boards which preceded it. Easily the most prolific British writer on airpower during the first half of the 20th century, with over a dozen books to his name, his meticulous footnotes and references are an absolute gold mine for later historians.
