About This Item

London: Collins, 1977. A Very Good+ clean, tight and unmarked copy apart from a small name to front pastedown with VG+ dustjacket which is not price clipped. 720 pages. Translated by Edward Quinn. Why should one be a Christian? Is there something more to being Christian than to being human? Just what does it mean to be a Christian and what does it mean to be a Christian now? Hans Kung, the leading theologian, looks at these questions and out of a lifetime of study suggests the answers. He regards the book as his magnum opus, and that his intent is to clarify and challenge Christian faith and life at a time when the churches have lost rather than gained credibility. A seminal work that is addressed to Christians and atheists, Gnostics and agnostics, pietists and positivists, lukewarm and zealous Catholics, Protestants and Orthodox. **** A LARGE HEAVY VOLUME OF 1.3 KILO UNPACKED WEIGHT WHICH MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL SHIPPING COST **** R1. First. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
