Well illustrated edition of this manic poem that descends from delight at the sound of bells into fear and horror. Illustrated with engravings throughout, frontis plate absent. Pictorial white hardcover printed in an Art Nouveau holly design in red, green and gold with green cloth spine, about 7.75 inches tall. Covers have soil and wear, good hinges, sound text block, frontis plate removed, smudging to inner margin of title page, pages otherwise clean, no names or other markings.. Hard Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
