First printing of first edition. The book is subtitled "His lifetime love affair with the art of dining--in his own words and his own pictures, from behind the scenes and at table." Book is sturdily bound, pages are unblemished. Bottom of boards have a thin rim of fading. Dust jacket is unclipped, with original price of $8.95 at bottom of front flap. Jacket is intact, with closed tears at corners. Bookstore sticker on front pastedown page; an attractive bookplate from the library of A. Gilliland is nearly invisible under the front flap. 8vo. 446 pp. In protective Mylar.
