About This Item

The First UK printing published by Hamish Hamilton (Reindeer Books) in 1957. The BOOK is in near Fine condition with light spotting and toning to the text-bock with some light toning to the extreme page edges. A few light spots to the boards and edges. Internally free from inscriptions and erasures. The WRAPPER is complete and is in in near Fine condition. Very light fading to the spine and just a little dustiness to the rear panel. The wrapper is in exceptional condition for its age and looks very bright in the removable Brodart archival cover. The book is profusely illustrated throughout in B/W by the author. One of the scarcest BB titles to find in any condition but more-so in such exceptional condition. More images available on request. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
