From the library of Robert George Morton (1880-1973) founder of the Argosy and Sundial circulating libraries and with his personal bookplate to front pastedown. Lightly foxed edges. Contents unblemished throughout. Covers are unmarked and have no bumping to corners or rubbing to gilt lettering. In original VG+ dust jacket with publisher's printed price of 7/6 net to spine. Signed by the author directly to ffep without dedication. The basis of the 1932 horror film, 'The Old Dark House', directed by James Whale and starring Boris Karloff and Charles Laughton.
