Volume is in mint, unread condition; unclipped jacket in fine condition with lightest of top edge ruffling. In The Beothuk Saga, Cree author Bernard Assiniwi combines history, ethnology, and a multi-generational epic storyline to tell the story of Newfoundland's now-extinct Beothuk people. Assiniwi traces the rise and fall of the tribe that settled Newfoundland during the time of the Vikings. Dr. Assiniwi, was a member of the Cree nation and famed in Canada for studies of its native peoples and for the monumental Histoire des Indiens du Haut et du Bas Canada (1974).
