The story follows Ptolemy, a young man who falls in love with Berenice, the daughter of the king of Egypt. Although Ptolemy is the heir to the throne of Egypt, his father forbids him from marrying Berenice. Another man, Syrus, also loves Berenice and wants to win her love.; B&W; 8vo; 203 pages .
