Original grey cloth, black lettering spine. FINE condition in 100% complete dust wrapper that has a bit of rubbing at tips of corners. Hefty book measures 239mm tall x 16cm, and has 543 pages, 65 b/w photos, index. Text in german -- no english edition. Big history of mountaineering starting with Babalonians, Romans & Vikings through ascents of Himalayan giants.
