About This Item
Berlin: Im Rembrandt-Verlag Berlin, 1958. This 9x9 inch square olive cloth photo-book is the scarce first edition of McBride's first book. "Berlin seen through the eyes of the Americans" wrote the Berlin newspapers on the occassion of an exhibition of photographs at the Amerika-Haus. This volume contains the best of that exhibition, plus some never shown before. Most are full page, and are in stark black and white. Dust jacket has some edgewear and creasing; protected in removable mylar sleeve to prevent further wear. Book has only minor wear; mostly a clean, tight copy. Explanatory text in German and English.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Collectible-Very Good/Collectible-Good. Illus. by Photo Illustrated.
