25 small glossy black & white photographs, verso numbered along with owner's notes identifying place; light curling due to storage; house in a pale green stiff folding envelope with title; near fine. The 1936 Summer Olympics were held August 1-16 in Berlin, Germany. They were the last Summer Olympics to be held before the start of WWII and the first Olympics to be televised. Hitler used the Olympics to promote his government and anti-Semitism. These small souvenir photographs promoted the sites in and around Berlin. Included is the sheet of uncut pre-gummed labels to be affixed to the verso of each photograph. The previous owner has written notes in ink on the verso of each one.
