Blue cloth spine with dark blue spine title; illustrated blue, yellow, and red paper over boards. Illustrated endpapers. Illustrations include 8 full-page color illustrations and many in-text drawings. Gift inscription on blank page following front endpaper. Includes a page for each month with name day, solar and lunar data, and important historical dates, which are heavily skewed toward the control of Latvia by the Soviet Union, such as the creation of the Red Army, the death of Lenin, and the establishment of the Latvian Lenin Communist Youth Union. The rest of the volume contains fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and hobby information for children, such as plans to build a racing car. In Very Good- Condition: edges rubbed; lower corner of front cover is bumped; cover is lightly soiled; front hinge is weak and lower dorner of fixed endpaper is torn; pages are clean and tight.
