A novel about life in a 1930s Chicago whorehouse, featuring Bessie Cotter, a young blonde woman who hasn't forgotten her humanity. First Printing, First Paperback Edition. Pictorial wrappers show a small stain in title box, very light wear at corners and spine ends, reading crease, o/w no tears, no surface creasing. Text shows slight age-tanning, a touch of spine lean, o/w clean and unmarked.
