Quite handsomely constructed in a rich blue cloth, with silver illustration and border flourishes to cover, and silver lettering to spine. Translucent, illustrated, printed dust wrapper in glassine, very little worn. Text is lovely throughout, explaining and depicting beasts as varied as the frog, the ape, the camel, the fly, the eagle, the fish, the wild boar, the bee, the spider, the cat, the sheep and other creatures great and small, evincing a superb collaboration between poet and artist. Well over 50 drawings. First Edition Thus, based upon the 1955 publication of the same name. 74 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
