About This Item

London: Chatto & Windus, 2011. First Printing, First UK Edition. . Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. The sixth novel in British writer, Susan Hill's highly-praised venture into crime fiction, features, as did the first five in this series, British police detective, Simon Serrailler, the outlier from a family of doctors, who is faced with the body of a teenager missing for the past sixteen years. The award-winning Hill, author of more than 50 books, whose contemporary fiction has been short-listed for the Booker Prize, puts all of her considerable talent to work and takes this novel beyond mere crime fiction. Boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square, not remaindered. The dustjacket shows perhaps a touch of edgewear, no tears, no creasing or chipping, not price-clipped. Very collectable.
