Oversized hardcover in light violet cloth. Fine in near fine dust jacket with minor wear at the extremities. 155 pp. With 23 full page color reproductions of the artist's work. Foreword by Eric Sloane. A comprehensive retrospective on the life and artistry of Bettina Steinke, who first entered into prominence as a portrait artist of such figues as FDR, Eisenhower, Toscanini, MacArthur, and Katherine Hepburn. In late life she abandoned her commercial career and moved West and transitioned into western realism.
