New York: H. Bittner and Company, 1945. 1945 Edition Limited to 1000 copies. NEAR FINE in FAIR dust jacket. A clean, totally unmarked and firmly bound copy in blue cloth hardcover gilt lettered on spine, gilt crest on front. Pages and endpapers have slight toning at edges, small crease to bottom corners, but are otherwise fine and unblemished. Cover clean, edge slightly rubbed and color faded. Binding and hinges firm and intact. Dust jacket is clean but moderately toned and heavily edge worn with several tears, holes and chips (2 quite large from rear panel). The front of the jacket has small holes and a light stain but the artwork remains intact and attractive. Jacket is in a clear protector. With 53 beautifully reproduced engravings of eighteenth century theatrical designs by eight members of the Bibiena family. 9-1/8 x 12"; 37 pages followed by illustrations.. Limited Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Fair.
