Imprinted at London by Robert Barker, printer to the Queenes most excellent Maiestie, anno. 1603., 1603.. 1603 4to. Maps and woodcuts in the text. Roman type. Herbert 274 with the colophon stating 'Printer to the Kings most excellent majestie.' Bound with a Common Prayer, lacking its title and one leaf of the Kalendar and followed by The Whole Booke of Psalmes ... , Imprinted by John Windet, for the Company of Stationers, 1604. This has an old paper repair without loss to the title and ends at Psalm CXL. New period style calf binding. Boards panelled with blind lines. Spine with raised bands and a contrasting label. Handmade endpapers. Extensive contemporary family records of the Hamond family on the blank verso of the final leaf of the Common Prayer and the blank signed Aj preceding the title of the Bible. Top corner of the title has a paper repair which just touches the printed area. Overall clean, and with good margins throughout. A very good copy.
