Full-leather boards, lettering and all edges gilt and still bright, unfaded red ribbon book mark still nice but with small closed tear where ribbon meets edge of page; pp. 769-960, plus full-page ill.--many of them fine engravings--with facing page explanatory text (including frontis.: blue-toned reproduction of "Esther Braves the King," by Otto Heyden), all immaculate and unmarked anywhere. Beautiful black moire-look end pages. Strong paper of finest quality without tanning or foxing; binding firm; some rubbing and discoloration at edges of leather boards, which expert repair could correct. 7" x 10". Truly a treasure.
