Tübingen, Johann Georg und Christian Gottfried Cot: Tübingen, Johann Georg und Christian Gottfried Cotta, 1730. Books measures 16 1/2 x 11 inches. Collation, [22], 1100pp, [6],528pp, 1101-1248pp, pagination continued from volume 1, 61-80pp, 76pp, 62 full page plates, mainly with 3 images, 2 folding maps, 1 folding plate, engraved frontis, and title page in each volume, plus the printed title pages. Volume 1 [ Old Testament ]. Volume 2 [ New Testament, Apocrypha, Harmony, Register of Names. Harmony starts at page 61, so lacking the first 60 pages, [ Probably ommited by the original binder?, no sign of a later removal of these pages ]. Bound in full decorative vellum. Each volume professionally rebacked, [ probably over 150 yars ago ], retaining the original ornately decorated boards, with the original clasps, gauffered gilt edges. Hinge joints rubbed, minor cracks in vellum. both bindings in very good clean firm condition. Internally, pages and engraved plates in very good clean condition. A very nice set, in fine bindings.F. Period Vellum. Very Good Plus. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.
