Bound in early 20th c. pale green cloth, title and incorrect date of 1885 in black lettering at spine, the first eight crossed out and corrected in ink. Remnants of label top corner front cover, remnants of Harvard College Library bookplate at front paste down, small Harvard stamps dated 1900 at verso of title and first page of text, Harvard blind stamps first five pages, no other institutional markings and legitimately removed from Harvard many years ago. vi, 149 pages with Libri Omissi/ errata page and publisher's ad final page. with hand ruled lines and manuscript price notations throughout, verso of title page covered with manuscript notations. Bound without the original wrappers, a Very Good and legible copy of this SCARCE catalogue of an early and important book auction. Askew's "achievements in the medical field are quite eclipsed by his proficiency as a classical scholar. As a book-collector, he is said to have attempted to secure a complete series of all the Greek classics ever published" (De Ricci, p. 52).. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
