Among the highlights noted were the following: Oppian's Halieutica, copied by Frankiskos Bitalios, c. 1500; Proclus on Plato's Theologia and Cratylus, both copied by Andreas Darmarios, from Dr. Anthony Askew's Collection; and Porphyry on Ptolemy's Harmonica, from the Darmarios Scriptorium; Letters of Cardinal Federico Borromeo, of Cardinal de Granvelle concerning preparations for the Lepanto Campaign, of the Last Duke of Urbino to Claudia De' Medici, Princess of Urbino, and from the Vettori Papers; Diplomatic Correspondence of Papal Nuncios and Vice-Legates; Recommendations for Appointments to American and African Sees; the Journal and Memoirs of Abb. Gualdi; a Collection of G. B. Ciampoli's Poems; Scenari of the Commedia Dell'arte; and an Unpublished Account of Lebanon in 1667; the Historical Collections of Conte Giovanni Battista Raimondo de Silva, and the Genealogical Collections of Conte Ottavio Archinto; Tsar Feodor Alexeievich's Personal Devotions; Petition by Two Jesuits to the Co-Tsars, Moscow 1689; Georgius David's Very Rare Tabella Characteris Moscovitico-Ruthenici, Nissa 1690, the First Textbook of the Russian Language; Manuscripts of Prince Antioch Kantemir's Satires and of the First Collection of Folksongs to Be Printed in Russia, M.
