First edition, deluxe issue, one of 85 copies, specially bound. Issued with: Camp Upsalquitch, signed and numbered by Charles Wood. The deluxe issue, superbly bound by Gray Parrott of Maine, includes an illustrated essay on Camp Upsalquitch, reproducing 8 photographs of Capt. Sweny’s camp on the Restigouche, circa 1882, near the camp of his friend, Dean Sage, a fellow resident of Albany, who would later write The Ristigouche and Its Salmon Fishing (1888). Three facsimiles of items in the collection accompany the essay, which was printed at the Ascencius Press. Guided tour through the highlights of the Altantic Salmon collection of Charles B. Wood, describing 217 books, manuscripts, and items of ephemera, in eight chapters: on Norway; the British Isles; Canada; Salmon Clubs; Books with Flies; Photograph Albums; Manuscripts, Proofs, and Journals; and a Miscellaneous section. With a foreword by Henry Wessells.
