New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1931. 314pp. Octavo. Original decorative yellow cloth boards with dark green lettering stamped to the front board and spine. Frontispiece portrait of the author; illustrated throughout the book with 51 drawings by the author. Some rubbing to the boards and spine and along the edges of the boards. Light bumping to the corners and the head and tail of the spine. Dust jacket has not been price clipped. Some chipping along the edges, especially to the head of the spine. Toning to the edges of the jacket and faint stain to the top corner of the front of the jacket. Signed and dated by Will James on the ffep. Overall an attractive signed copy. A nicely preserved first edition copy with the all important Scribner's A on the back of the title page and James's signature on the ffep. This is Will James fourth novel and is quite scarce in a nice wrapper. 1931
