New York: William Murrow & Co.. Very Good in Good+ dust jacket. 1939. First Edition. Hardback in dust jacket. First edition bound in black cloth measuring 7 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches lightly rubbed and corner and spine ends wear. Some discoloration to the cloth - see photos. Previous owner signature stamp remains along top edge. Discoloration to both pastedowns. The jacket is soiled and worn with some losses - chipped at spine ends and larger loss to upper panel. Complete ion 281 bright pages. From the American First Editions collection of Donald C. Scriven (1948-2019). Don relished points of issue and the primacy of the dust jacket but above all he loved the literature! .
