Illustrated by Howard Leigh and Alfred Sindall. Pp. 256, coloured frontispiece, plus 6 full page illustrations and a full page map; pictorial tan cloth, lettered and decorated in dark brown, edges slightly rubbed, upper board a trifle marked, spine slightly flecked, the lower board quite damp stained; bookseller's sticker at foot of upper pastedown, five-line inscription whited-out on upper free endpaper, hinges tender at a couple of points, short split to bottom edge of lower free endpaper, some scattered foxing; Oxford University Press/Humphrey Milford, London, 1936. First edition. *Lacking the dust wrapper.
